Lightspeed Zulu 3 ANR Pilot Headset

Lightspeed Zulu 3 ANR Pilot Headset Overview:

The Lightspeed Zulu 3 Headset

Save $50 on each Zulu headset when buying two or more.

The most comfortable, most durable headset Lightspeed has ever made!

Lightspeed engineers researched how pilots perceive noise at various frequencies in the cockpit, then developed technology providing focused noise attenuation over the most critical ranges. The result is the Lightspeed Zulu 3, a headset with the ultimate performance profile and industry-leading total noise cancellation attributes.

Quiet

With patent-pending Microport Vent technology and new electronic cancellation components, the Zulu 3 offers improved active noise reduction (ANR) consistency and performance over a deep, broad range of low frequency noise. The magnesium ear cup is superior at blocking out high frequency noise.

Comfort

• Weighing in at about 13 ounces, the Lightcomfort design includes plush ear seals, exceptional fit and 15% less side pressure.
• Performance ear seals are tapered to provide a more natural fit, for greater comfort and stability.
• Plush ear seals provide 20% more surface area than competitors, for a better seal around glasses frames and a more comfortable distribution of side pressure.
• Larger cup cavity provides 50% more space for your ears, allowing the entire ear to fit comfortably inside, while preventing the pain caused by seals pressing against the edge of the ear
• Low-pro file stainless steel headband follows the curve of the head for more comfortable distribution of weight and side pressure

Durability

• New rugged cables built around a Kevlar core deliver more strength and flexibility with less weight than standard cables
• Nearly 100% of the headset is made from stainless steel and magnesium
• Magnesium ear cups are both strong and light, while delivering superior high-frequency noise attenuation
• A low-profile, stainless steel headband provides lightweight durability and excellent cabin clearance.

Clarity

• The Dual Aperture Disc™ microphone provides greater noise cancellation for unparalleled voice clarity, more intelligible communications with crisp, rich audio
• Exclusive, user-adjustable mic gain helps balance loud and soft voices in a multi-headset environment
• Front Row Center™ (FRC), stereo cross-feed technology, and redesigned speakers deliver crisp, rich audio and unparalleled music fidelity

Lightspeed Zulu 3 versus Lightspeed Zulu.2
New contoured ear seals are designed to hug the curve of the jaw, reducing side pressure to get a more natural fit for more comfort and stability. These ear seals create 30-50% more space for the ear than other ANR headsets — a key feature of long-term user comfort. The Lightspeed Zulu 3 also includes a free taller head pad to ensure maximum comfort and performance on smaller head shapes (redemption instructions are in the User Guide). In addition the Lightspeed Zulu 3 is outfitted with new cables built around a Kevlar core, which are stronger, lighter, and more flexible than standard cables. And, the Lightspeed Zulu 3 will be backed by an industry-best 7-year warranty (the industry standard is 5 years at best).
